Monday, 27 December 2010 09:59 AM EST

Viagra® acts by regulating or enhancing blood flow to the penis during sexual intercourse, thereby enhancing the performance of men suffering from various erectile dysfunction.

Viagra is available in various doses, ranging from 25 mg to 100 mg. The  price varies in accordance with the dose. It must also be noted that one can save money by buying a strip of Viagra instead of individual pills. The price of a 50 mg pill is roughly $1.99 and a 100 mg pill is $3.00. There is a cost reduction on Viagra if 30 to 180 pills are bought at one time. A person can save up to $390 if he buys 180 pills of Viagra instead of buying just 10.

Many pharmacies, including Walmart, offer heavy discounts on Viagra. Great discounts can also be found on Viagra when bought online. Also, generic Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate) is much cheaper than the brand name.

There are generally no serious side effects of Viagra, though the most common side effect is dizziness. This side effect occurs due to a change (reduction) in blood pressure. Another side effect of Viagra is an erection that lasts for 3 to 4 hours. Blurry vision, headaches, a slight stomach upset, sinus congestion, and hot flashes are other common side effects. Rare cases of chest pain and chest tightening have also been reported. These side effects suggest that the individual has some kind of underlying heart problem. Heart attacks caused by Viagra are rare, but have nevertheless been reported.
