New Hampshire is a prominent state in the northeastern part of the United States. It has a vibrant educational culture with 150 public high schools, 23 accredited, degree-granting, postsecondary institutions, and five state public universities. Five of the best colleges in New Hampshire are:
  1. Dartmouth College: Ranked #11 by U.S. News and World Report, Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire is a private institution and the smallest university within the Ivy League. Founded in 1769, it is a renowned university that offers a wide variety of subject choices and course offerings ranging from liberal arts and business to engineering. It has a campus size of 200 acres and total undergraduate student population of 4,196.
  2. Keene State College: The far southwestern corner of New Hampshire is home to Keene State College, one of the best colleges in the state. Founded in 1866, the university offers 2000 courses in over 100 majors with one of its most popular departments being kinesiology. 
  4. Southern New Hampshire University:  Southern New Hampshire University is a private educational institution. Founded in 1932, it was formerly known as New Hampshire College. Since its inception, it has kept its focus on business technology. Its financial services department is one of the most prestigious in the nation. With a campus spanning 288 acres and total undergraduate student strength of 1,954, it is considered one of the best career colleges in New Hampshire. The university attracts a large population of adult and non-traditional students, and professionals who wish to get a degree in business education.
  5. Plymouth State University:A public institution that was founded in 1871, Plymouth State University is renowned for its academic department of meteorology. It offers 40 major fields of study including architecture, biomedical sciences, foreign languages, communication, and journalism. Its natural sciences department, with the Center for Environment, is gaining recognition by the day.
