For many, Sean Connery is the quintessential James Bond, the best 007 of all time. Indeed, he gave life to the character based on Ian Fleming’s novels and launched the decades-long film series into worldwide popularity, defining the character for years to come.

Connery played the debonair British spy in seven movies from 1962’s “Dr. No” to 1983’s unofficial Bond film “Never Say Never Again,” and the turning point in his career led to a wide array of popular and critically acclaimed films on his resume and people have plenty to say about it.

Timothy Dalton, the fourth actor to play Bond, said in an interview on "Good Morning America." Dalton said he was approached several times by the producers to take over the role. Eventually, he did accept, starring in "The Living Daylights" in 1987.
