Six actors have played James Bond, the British spy created by Ian Fleming. They are Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Bond fans usually have their favorite.

While Bond movies are well known for action and beautiful women, Bond, his boss, M, and the villains often have interesting and humorous monologues. Focusing on the more recent Bond films -- starring Moore, Dalton, Brosnan, and Craig -- here are five memorable monologues:

1. "A View to a Kill" (1985)

Max Zorin, who owns Zorin Industries, is portrayed by Christopher Walken. Zorin plots to take over the global technology industry by destroying Silicon Valley in California. Zorin says: “We are now in the unique position to form an international cartel to control not only production, but distribution of these microchips. There is one obstacle – Silicon Valley in San Francisco.”

2. "The Living Daylights" (1987)

Timothy Dalton plays Bond, who’s trying to prevent an arms dealer from starting another world war. After being told he should have killed a woman and that the man will report him to his boss, M, he says: “Stuff my orders! I only kill professionals. That girl didn’t know one end of her rifle from the other. Go ahead. Tell M what you want. If he fires me, I’ll thank him for it.”

3. "GoldenEye" (1995)

Pierce Brosnan portrays Bond in this film. His boss, M, played by Judi Dench, tells him: “You don’t like me, Bond. You don’t like my methods. You think I’m an accountant, a bean counter more interested in my numbers than your instincts ... I think you’re a sexist, misogynist dinosaur. A relic of the Cold War, whose boyish charms, though wasted on me, obviously appealed to that young woman I sent out to evaluate you.”

4. "Casino Royale" (2006)

Daniel Craig is Bond in this film, taking his first mission with “00” status. Dench again gets some great lines. She says: “Who the hell do they think they are? I report to the prime minister, and even he’s smart enough not to ask me what we do. Have you ever seen such a bunch of self-righteous, a**-covering prigs? They don’t care what we do; they care what we get photographed doing. And how the hell could Bond be so stupid? I give him double-O status and he celebrates by shooting up an embassy. Is the man deranged? And where the hell is he? In the old days, if an agent did something that embarrassing he’d have the good sense to defect. Christ, I miss the Cold War.”

5. "Skyfall" (2012)

This is another Daniel Craig movie, in which he travels to Istanbul to find a disc containing the names of NATO representatives, where they are located, and their real names. The villain, Raoul Silva, played by Javier Bardem, says: “They kept me for five months in a room with no air. They tortured me, and I protected your secrets. I protected you. But they made me suffer. And suffer. And suffer. Until I realized, it was you who betrayed me."

Going on about the betrayal, Silva adds, "So, I had only one thing left. My cyanide capsule in my back left molar. You remember, right? So, I broke the tooth and bit into the capsule. It ... burned all my insides, but I didn't die. Life clung to me like a disease. And then I understood why I had survived. I needed to look in your eyes one last time.”
