Here’s a list of animals hunters can bag year-round in Florida, according to eregulations.com.

1. Rabbit
Rabbit can be hunted year round in all four management zones in Florida. All legal rifles, shotguns, muzzleloaders, crossbows, bows, and pistols, may take rabbits at any time. Rabbit limits include 12 rabbits daily and a possession limit of 24 rabbits.
Bass Pro Shops recommends hunting for rabbits in swampy areas, brush piles, honeysuckle patches, fallen treetops, and other forest cover.

2. Wild Hog
Wild hog has no bag limit and can be hunted year round in Florida. Hogs can be either trapped or shot without hunting to meet the state’s hunting license requirement. Hogs are not a native species to Florida and are considered to be invasive as they can destroy the habitat of many other animals. Currently, hogs have made habitats in all 67 of Florida’s counties, leading to the liberal regulations regarding them as game animals. Hunters may take hogs at night on private land as well.

These animals are often considered nuisance animals, especially in urban areas. Raccoons and opossum may be hunted at night with the use of .22-caliber rimfire rifles or single-shot .410 gauge shotguns. There is no limit on any of these small game species in the state of Florida.

According to the FWC, the best small game hunting areas in the state are: northwest region, north central region, northeast region, southwest region, and the south region
