If you’re a competitor, Springfield Armory offers comments on its blog from internationally renowned competitive Rob Leatham. When he won his eighth International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) World Shoot in 2014, he said, “Thanks to the Springfield Armory Custom shop, my 1911 worked flawlessly. World championships are won by a few points most of the time, and this one was no different. I simply cannot worry about my equipment, and thanks to Dave and Jason at Springfield Custom, I can focus on each and every stage for each and every shot.”

If you’re in the market to protect yourself and your family, the Springfield Armory website offers more than 20 choices for this purpose. Take a look at the XD(m) 4.5 inch Full Size .45ACP, a pistol that offers performance and easy handling. It measures 7.7 inches in length and weighs 31 ounces. Another option is the XD 4 inch Compact Model .45ACP with a black polymer frame and a grip width of 1.22 inches.

Suppose you have several purposes in mind when looking for the best firearm for yourself. Springfield Armory has an answer for that, with a variety of multi-purpose models that can be used for everything from protection to honing your skills at the shooting range. There are many to choose from, including the XD-S 3.3 inches Single Stack .45ACP or the 1911 Champion Operator Lightweight .45 ACP. Both are versatile enough for concealed carry or to use as needed.

The company also offers long-range, mid-range, and short-range rifles, as well as the expertise to help you decide which firearm works best for you. Long range offers several models to choose from, including the M1A Super Match, which is great for competition, or the Standard M1A, which was the standard issue rifle of the U.S. military from 1959 to 1970. Springfield Armory made the rifle available to the public in 1974.

There are several mid-range firearms at Springfield Armory, including the Loaded M1A with extras for competitive shooting, and the M1A Scout Squad, which is a full-sized battled rifle offering power and reliability, and the M1A SOCOM, which packs power into a compact rifle.

Short range firearms include the M1A SOCOM 16, which Springfield Armory introduced in 2004, M1A Scout Squad, a full-sized battle rifle, or the Standard M1A, which was the standard issue military rifle for over a decade.
