Here are seven top ranked courses in the U.S.:

1. Pebble Beach, California — Pebble Beach has been repeatedly named the No. 1 golf course in Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses. It has nine holes above the Pacific Ocean that add sights and sounds to the challenging course. Pebble Beach will host its sixth U.S. Open in 2019 and the U.S. Amateur in 2018

2. Pacific Dunes, Bandon, Oregon — Rolling greens, rumpled fairways, and sand dunes helped this course rank second on Golf Digest’s list of the 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses in the U.S.

3. Pine Valley Golf Club, Pine Valley, New Jersey — The course first opened in 1918. Pine Valley was named among the best clubs in the top 100 golf courses in the U.S. by GolfLink.

4. Bethpage State Park Golf Course, Farmingdale, New York — No. 1 on GolfLink’s list of top 100 golf courses, Bethpage’s “Black” course provides 7,065 yards of golf play. Golfers have enjoyed the course since 1936

5. Jefferson Park Golf Course, Seattle, Washington — The 18-hole “Regulation” course opened in 1917. It includes 6,182 yards for golfing.

6. Yocha Dehe Golf Club, Brooks, CaliforniaGolf Advisor placed the golf club at Cache Creek first in a list of top 50 courses, rated by reviews and course data. Many players agree it is among the best golf courses

7. El Campeon Course at Mission Inn Resort & Club, Howey in the Hills, Florida — This course took second place in Golf Advisor’s top 50 courses. It has a historic feel to it, according to golfers.
