Throughout the past century the fantasy genre has produced hundreds of unique and engaging films. Here are the four best classic fantasy movies according to Rotten Tomatoes.
1. “The Wizard of Oz”

Frank Baum, was innovative for its time. The plot revolves around an innocent yet resourceful Kansas farm girl named Dorothy who is swept to the Land of Oz by a tornado. 2. “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves”
Like the “Wizard of Oz,” Snow White is an oldie but goodie. The primary cause for its fame was the unique and nuanced animation. This revamped take on a classic Grimm’s Fairy Tale tells the tale of a young girl who lives with seven dwarfs. Its Rotten Tomatoes score is 98 percent.
3. “Pinocchio”
Pinocchio was produced in 1940, and this classic movie recounts the story of a wooden puppet made by a lonely carpenter who wished for a son. When a fairy took pity on the woodcarver, she turned the puppet to life. The carpenter dubbed him Pinocchio, a name that literally means “pine eyes” in Italian. Pinocchio immediately got up to all sorts of mischief. His wooden nose would betray him by growing noticeably every time he told a lie. This film received a rating of 100 percent.
4. “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”
Released in 1975, this movie still has a cult following for its sidesplitting humor and creative plot. It was created to showcase the problems of medieval Europe by focusing on the knights of King Arthur, who led his men on a quest to find the Holy Grail. Along the way, they encountered ridiculous obstacles. A sardonic British comedy group called Monty Python acted out the movie. It has a 97 percent score.
