Chamomile is a popular herbal remedy. It is used as an antidepressant, in addition to being used as a disease alleviator. It is available in two varieties; German and Roman chamomile.
Chamomile is an herb that was traditionally grown in the European regions, India, and in some parts of Asia. However, it is now commonly grown in many parts of the United States.
Chamomile is a daisy-shaped flower that has a nice “apple-like” scent. In the United States, the German variety of chamomile is more popular. Chamomile tea bags are widely available on the market and in natural health stores. But, powdered, dried flowers are usually a better option. These are available online and possibly in natural health stores too. Chamomile can also be obtained in shampoo form.
Chamomile flower is used in perfumes, shampoos, essential oils, medicines, and teas. Chamomile is so gentle that it has even been recommended for infants with sleep problems. It is an effective additive to the diet of those with Asperger’s syndrome and autism. The reason for this is that chamomile reduces erratic behavior in such patients and soothes the mind. Its property as a relaxant is unquestioned, which is why it is highly recommended in patients with autism and Asperger’s, where the patients need to be calmed and their hostile/irritable behavior needs to be reduced. Chamomile in tea or pill form is a great choice for these conditions.
