The five best dogs for adventurers are:
1.Alaskan huskies
2. Hounds
3.Setters
4.Spaniels
5.German shepherds
According to studies, the original sled dogs were Inuit sled dogs, which were bred by the Mahlemuit tribe. They were later crossbred with other breeds.
Later on, in the early 20th century, Siberian huskies were introduced and they became one of the best dogs for adventurers. The original dogs were chosen for their strength and stamina; however, modern racing dogs are all mixed-breed huskies bred for speed, tough feet, endurance, a good attitude, and most importantly the desire to run.
Starting in 1984, these dogs were examined by veterinarians and nurses before the start of any adventure sport. They would check the dogs’ teeth, eyes, tonsils, heart, lungs, joints, and genitals. They look for signs of illegal drugs, improperly healed wounds, and pregnancy. All the dogs are identified and tracked by microchip implants and collar tags.
