The U.S. has a double standard for justice. A long list of felons from the Obama administration, notably Obama himself together with Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, James Comey and Andrew McCabe, appear to be immune from prosecution.
Meanwhile, Republicans who have done nothing other than support Donald Trump have been persecuted and prosecuted. If you are conservative and expect to receive justice, you are in the wrong country.
Anyone who agrees with the liberal playbook can expect all the justice and fairness that money can buy. But if you are conservative and a Trump supporter, justice and fair play do not apply to you.
The Justice Department, FBI, CIA and other federal agencies have been taken over by the left-wingers of the Deep State. They mete out injustice — with a bullet for conservatives — on a daily basis. Four examples really get under my skin.
Let’s begin with the campaign against Donald Trump.
“Once-revered institutions including the FBI and the CIA were engaged in a plot against a presidential candidate they did not like,” writes Elizabeth Stauffer in The Western Journal. “After this candidate became president, they doubled down on their attempts to destroy him.”
Watching the assault on Trump was heartbreaking for anyone who cares about justice. Trump was investigated for crimes they knew he did not commit, most notably the Russia Collusion hoax that exhausted the nation’s resources for more than three years.
“When the truth was finally revealed,” said Stauffer, “Trump supporters expected that those who perpetrated the scandal would be held accountable, but nothing happened.”
The DOJ under Holder, Lynch, Sessions and Barr suppressed investigations of Hillary Clinton, James Comey and others. The elusive Durham investigation has been going on since April 2019 with no results.
“The president has been a crime victim and the Justice Department has done nothing about it,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “In many ways the Justice Department enabled the criminality.”
The next example is the IRS campaign against conservative groups. This is one of the worst cases involving weaponization of federal resources by a sitting president against his political opponents.
The IRS under Obama deliberately applied intensive scrutiny against conservative political groups applying for tax-exempt status.
"There is no excuse for this conduct,” said then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions. “Hundreds of organizations were affected by these actions, and they deserve an apology from the IRS.”
In spite of this admission, the DOJ declared that no charges would be filed. “Congress should take tax collectors out of the business of regulating political activity,” advised The Wall Street Journal. Too late. The damage was done.
Next we have the Soviet-style FBI raids on the homes of Trump supporters Paul Manafort and Roger Stone.
Manafort and his wife were asleep at 6 a.m. when a dozen fully armed FBI agents stormed Manafort’s Virginia condo. In view of Manafort’s prior cooperation with law enforcement, the paramilitary raid clearly was overkill.
It is likely that the raid occurred because Manafort had not “flipped” by revealing damning evidence about other witnesses. Manafort was sentenced to more than seven years in prison and placed in solitary confinement for months because he was deemed guilty of being a Trump supporter.
Proving the existence of a double standard, Tony Podesta, brother of Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, John Podesta, was given immunity for the same crimes that Manafort was charged with.
Roger Stone, another longtime Trump supporter, received the KGB treatment at his Florida home. Stone was quoted as saying that 29 FBI agents “pounded on the door” when he was in his pajamas, pointed automatic weapons at him, and “terrorized” his wife and dogs.
“It was absolutely ridiculous,” said ex-FBI agent Peter Yachmetz. “They were trying to get a point across and it was leaked to CNN. It was inappropriate and improper,” Yachmetz added. “I cannot recall banging on anyone’s door at 6 a.m. for a white-collar crime.”
From the Left’s perspective, this savage treatment is appropriate for conservatives and especially Trump supporters.
Last month, FBI agents converged on the California home of entrepreneur George E. Dickson III. Dickson was linked to efforts by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani — a major Trump supporter — to raise $10 million to produce a documentary related to Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden.
Sound fishy? You bet it is. It doesn’t happen to Democrats.
The last example concerns demonstrators from the January 6th Capitol assault who have been languishing in jail — in solitary — for months with no charges filed and no bail. Some elements of that day may have been planned by non-Trump supporters with the knowledge of the FBI. There is other evidence that police opened the doors in some sections to let the demonstrators inside the building.
Yet Democrats have labeled the event an “insurrection.” Attorney General Merrick Garland referred to it as an “invasion.” Garland said it was the most dangerous threat to American democracy ever. According to Steve McCann in American Thinker, Garland identified the protestors as “domestic extremists,” which has become a euphemism for Republicans.
Dozens of “suspects are held in solitary confinement in cells the 'size of a walk-in closet' for up to 24 hours a day and treated like 'domestic terrorists' by jail guards,” reports The Daily Mail.
“Numerous detainees are being held in appalling third-world conditions,” said Steve McCann, “and at times in solitary confinement subject to physical abuse. All are awaiting trials that will not happen for nearly a year.”
Prosecutors have failed to release exculpatory information requested by the defendants. This is right out of the KGB annals, not the American justice system.
“That's what this treatment of people that got arrested was all about — intimidation,” said Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas.
In stark contrast, thousands of leftist rioters, looters, and arsonists who destroyed our cities and towns during the summer of 2020 either have not been arrested or have received suspended sentences. The Democrat-controlled media went out of their way to label them as “peaceful demonstrators.”
Despite the complete breakdown of law and order resulting in a veritable fortune in damages, you won’t hear Democrats or the media suggesting that the leftist thugs constitute “the most dangerous threat to American democracy.”
In truth, the dangerous threat to our democracy is the justice system’s bias against conservatives.
