Former President George W. Bush, who has become a tool of the liberal establishment as he seeks to rehabilitate his image, launched a vicious diatribe against President Trump, one that is based on a big lie. The contemptible lie at the core of Bush’s attack is that Donald Trump and, by extension, his “base” have something against black men and women. They don’t care if they rip the country apart or if they cynically use minorities as cannon fodder in the cause of stopping Trump.

Their war against Trump continues to reach new lows as they denigrate the heroic efforts of federal agencies helping Puerto Rico recover from a devastating hurricane in the name of trying to prove that Trump has something against Puerto Rican men and women. And now they have even stooped to the bottom of the barrel as a member of Congress exploits the pain and suffering of a gold star wife in a despicable effort to smear Trump.

What then, exactly, is their real beef with President Trump? Obviously if the president was one of them, a liberal upholding the status quo, all would be forgiven. Indeed, if President Trump were a liberal they would attack his opponents with accusations of a vast right-wing conspiracy. What is the cause of the current outburst of phony virtue signaling and the cacophonous droning about Trump’s personality flaws by the alt-left media?

Specifically, I would contend that the liberal establishment has turned up the volume on their hate machine to drown out what appears to be a developing scandal that may involve the Clintons and former President Barack Obama. According to Investor’s Business Daily, the Senate Judiciary Committee is investigating a Russian attempt to grab American uranium supplies by means of bribes, extortion, kickbacks and money laundering. In committee hearings, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) presented evidence to Attorney General Jeff Sessions that FBI Director James Comey may have covered up evidence of Russian meddling in 2009 before the 2010 approval by the Obama Administration of a deal that granted to Putin’s Russia 20 percent of the American uranium supply. Perhaps the liberal establishment is afraid that the truth behind the Russian collusion might come to light and in the process, several of their sacred cows might face indictments.

But the cause of the war against President Trump is broader and deeper than a mere scandal by which the establishment could toss a couple of their own members under the bus and continue business as usual. President Trump threatens to change the whole way business is done in this country and in this sense the president is truly a revolutionary figure. What the liberal establishment really hates is that President Trump is putting the interests of American citizens and of the country above the interests of this elite top 1 percent globalist establishment.

President Trump is cutting onerous regulations, trimming the federal budget, and presenting a tax plan that raises taxes on the rich by creating a new tax bracket while reducing taxes on the working poor by raising the bottom tax bracket from 10 percent to 12 percent. The president is presiding over the defeat of ISIS after Obama did little over 4 years and his healthcare executive order offers more choice and competition in insurance policies which will likely lower the cost for small businesses and working people.

The successes of putting America first, and the likelihood that this success will be experienced by most Americans, is why the liberal establishment is turning up the volume and fanning racial division. They are afraid that President Trump’s policies are starting to work and that in the process the American people might start to become woke.
