An open letter to President Joe Biden 

Dear President Biden,

My name is Bryan Leib, I’m the Executive Director of the Iranian Americans for Liberty.

I’m 36 years old and as long as I’ve been alive, the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been chanting "Death to America" and "Death to Israel" — two nations that I love very much.

Now it should be noted there is a major difference in the sentiment on this between the Islamic Republic's leadership and the Iranian people.

I personally receive messages every month from brave Iranians inside the Islamic Republic thanking me for the work I do and telling me they can't wait until the day their country is liberated and they can have good relations with the U.S., Israel, and their Gulf neighbors.

While the Iranian people long for freedom, Tehran has backed up their words with direct and indirect actions by leading the world as the foremost fiscal and operational sponsor of terrorism from Hamas inside Israel to Hezbollah in Lebanon to the Houthis in Yemen and scores of other under the radar terrorist groups that many Americans have never heard of.

Tehran sends out at least one billion dollars-plus per year to these terrorist proxies whose mission is very simple, kill as many Americans, Jews, and Christians as possible while also trying to eradicate the world’s only Jewish nation, Israel.

This barbaric support of terrorist groups has been happening for 40-plus years and the brave Iranian people have taken to the streets on multiple occasision to peacefully protest the Islamic Regime for this and many other issues.

Mr. President, you have ignored their pleas for help.

Fast forward to 2022; the Islamic Republic has enriched uranium for their nuclear weapons program at historic levels, they have inked a deal with America’s largest adversary, China, to the tune of $400B over the next 20-plus years, they continue to oppress, censor, and murder their own civilians for dissent — and you guessed it, they continue funding terrorist proxies who have the blood of thousands of innocent human beings on their hands.

Furthermore, last week the IRGC’s Navy taunted U.S warships in international waters and this week, Tehran test fired their ICBM’s.

Tehran is not taking you seriously, Mr. President.

Your appeasement strategy has failed. Miserably. Isn't that clear enough?

I have a very simple question for you — why do you continue to appease another nation who doesn’t share any of our values, who has sworn to destroy our nation and Israel, and who leads the world in sponsoring terrorist groups while also violating the human rights of the Iranian people on a daily basis.

Again, it’s a simple question: Why do you continue appeasing Tehran and how do the American people benefit from such appeasement?
