In a recent article by Responsible Statecraft, several points were made about my past work history with pro-Israel and Jewish organizations. The insinuations by the reporter who wrote the article implied that if Iranian-Americans and Jewish-Americans are working together, it is supposedly because Jewish donors are behind it and because the Jewish donors are doing it only for Israel.

This is a classic anti-Semitic trope. It’s the kind that Rep. Ilhan Omar made when she said "It's all about the Benjamins." And, it’s one that the Iranian Regime has also been using ever since the Abraham Accords were signed between Israel, UAE and Bahrain.

The attack on me continued on the morning of April 6th when Trita Parsi, the executive director of the Quincy Institute, tweeted: "LOL! The Executive Director of the new 'Iranian-American' group trying to bomb Iran with 'freedom' is Bryan Leib. ('Iranian Americans for Liberty') Previously, Leib served as the Program Director of the Israeli-American Council…"

People such as Trita Parsi get very nervous when they see Jewish-Americans and Iranian-Americans working together in America. But with this tweet, Trita put a potential target on my back for being a Jew who has worked for Pro-Israel organizations in the past.

Why does my past work history have anything to do with the work I'm doing at the Iranian Americans for Liberty?

It doesn't, but apparently Trita wants his supporters to know that a Jew is now working in the Iranian-American advocacy space.

Trita is the co-founder of NIAC, National Iranian American Council.

When Trita made this statement, he showed the world his true colors.

Many of my non-Jewish Iranian-American friends have alleged that Trita is a rabid anti-Semite who has a big disdain for Israel and anyone who supports the world's only Jewish nation. Trita's tweet implies that these whispers may be true.

So while Trita arguably shills for a holocaust-denying Iranian Regime that would love to wipe Israel off the map, he has now set his sights on me for being a Jew that is advocating on behalf of the Iranian-American community.

That's pathetic.

I am proud to state that over the last seven months I have been honored to interact with thousands of Iranian-Americans from all over the United States. Not once have any of those people attempted to shame me for being a Jew — it seems only Trita has done that. Not once has anyone spoken negatively about Israel — it seems only Trita has done that.

In my travels (albeit virtual) since joining the IAL team, I have found that the vast majority of Iranian-Americans, Jewish and non-Jewish, are liberty-loving Americans who find anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism to be a sickness and who have never expressed anything but positive sentiment for Israel.

Trita and his cronies can attack me as much as they want, but I know the truth — he's in the absolute minority, not the majority. I will continue to work with the Iranian-American community to push back against the Iranian Regime's lobbyists in America and to provide a platform to all Iranian-Americans who wish to raise their voice against the Regime and in support of the people of Iran.

I know that one day that the people of Iran will be free from the totalitarian Islamic Republic Regime, and when that day comes I will be honored to reach out my hand to support the people of Iran.
