The Newsmax Rising Bestsellers list will do more than stimulate your mind. These reads may challenge your beliefs, broaden your perspectives, excite your curiosities or widen your imagination.

These books may not necessarily appear on the official New York Times list of bestsellers, but they’re the ones our Newsmax audience is reading, talking about, sharing with friends and even buying.

Here are the Newsmax Rising Bestsellers for the week of Feb. 3rd, 2020:

1) “God, Trump, and the 2020 Election: Why He Must Win and What's at Stake for Christians if He Loses,” by Stephen Strang (Frontline) Strang, voted by Time magazine as one of the 25 most influential Evangelicals in America, In this book Strang looks at the 2016 election of Donald Trump from a spiritual perspective and makes an impassioned argument about why all Christians must support the president. Strang says the destiny of America is riding on his reelection, but also warns how he might lose if his base is overconfident and doesn’t vote or if his opponents are dishonest enough to steal the election. (Non-fiction)

2) “Unknown Valor: A Story of Family, Courage, and Sacrifice from Pearl Harbor to Iwo Jima,” by Martha McCallum with Ronald J. Drez (Harper) The Fox News anchor pays tribute to the heroic men who fought one of the bloodiest and most brutal battles of World War II -- Iwo Jima – during which they defeat the armed forces of Emperor Hirohito during a 36-day battle. But the cost was incredibly high -- 7,000 Marines were killed and 22,000 wounded — among them, a member of McCallum’s own family, Harry Gray. The book focuses on the soldiers’ personal stories through letters and recollections, revealing the extraordinary sacrifices that were made by ordinary Americans who wanted to save the world from tyranny. (Non-fiction)

3) “I've Seen the End of You: A Neurosurgeon's Look at Faith, Doubt, and the Things We Think We Know,’’ by W. Lee Warren, M.D. (WaterBrook) This memoir by Warren, a brain surgeon, inventor and Iraq War veteran, explores the tension between faith and science amid life or death situations. He argues that when nothing seems to makes sense, God can transform your circumstances and your life -- and offer a new beginning. (Non-fiction)

4) “Great Society: A New History,’’ by Amity Shales (Harper) Shales, who chairs the board of the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation, explores the explosive political times of the 1960s and the idealistic quest to end poverty, promote higher standards of living for the middle class and create more access to health care and education. But she argues that the reforms pushed through by Presidents Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon shackled millions of families in permanent government dependence. And the costs of those entitlement commitments made a half century ago, she says, preclude the very reforms that Americans will need in coming decades. (Non-fiction)

5) “The First Conspiracy: The Secret Plot to Kill George Washington,” by Brad Meltzer with Josh Mensch (Flatiron Books) Bestselling thriller writer Meltzer unravels the little-known true-life story of efforts to assassinate the nation’s first president and how it led to the development to the modern day CIA. The conspiracy took shape in 1776 after an elite group of soldiers were handpicked to serve as Washington’s bodyguards. But they turned out to be part of clandestine group including the governor of New York and mayor of New York City dead set in killing him off. Meltzer, teaming up with historian and TV documentarian Josh Mensch, detail how the Father of Our Country not only led patriot forces to victory
