Amazon.com Inc. is likely to have about 14 percent of the global media-tablet market in the fourth quarter, ranking second to Apple Inc.’s iPad, IHS said.
Amazon will probably ship 3.9 million units of the recently introduced Kindle Fire in the final three months of the year, according to IHS researchers. Apple probably shipped 18.6 million units of the iPad in the period, IHS said.
