Is America Committing Suicide?

One irony of the Biden administration’s trading American prisoner Viktor Bout (“The Merchant of Death” Russian arms dealer) for Russian detainee Brittney Griner (American basketball player who well knew drug possession penalties) is not lost on everyone.

To wit: If there were to be a trade (never appropriate given Bout’s demonstrable danger), the guiltless-of-any-crime former American Marine Paul Whelan might be a candidate, yet a sports-famous pawn won out over a military-serving knight.

Another irony is that America is sending massively expensive, sophisticated weapons to Ukraine while Russia suffers a depleted supply of armaments in an attempt to conquer same, so releasing Bout only helps Russia obtain new and better arms (maybe some of ours) to advance the invasion that America attempts to thwart.

What is not ironic but deadly serious and frightening is the reason now-released Bout is becoming a hero to the Russian populace — not for weaponry support but for supporting the Kremlin’s official claim that America has become morally degenerate. After being prison-bound here but with full media access to the outside, he declares: “What is happening in the West is a suicide of civilization.”

This subject — not headline-grabbing government chess-playing — is worth attention because Viktor Bout is first-hand-experience-wise agreeing with Vladimir Putin’s propaganda regarding decadence in the West. In Soviet Union days, Russian propaganda focused on communism’s beneficial socio-economic system as being superior to the West’s capitalist-greed-oriented structure.

Now, Russia — sans “Union” — purports to be morally superior to America and the West in general?

For a country as aggressively brutal as Russia still is — destroying civilian residences, energy sources, and infrastructure resulting in freezing and starvation in Ukraine in addition to its own internal opponents imprisoned and executed without cause, all against international law — moral superiority is an astonishing claim.

Regarding national moral values, however, Putin’s rhetoric concentrates on Russian domestic traditions such as spiritual guidance via the Orthodox Church, patriotism, and families with children.

In truth, it actually is some of these very same values that are causing cultural conflict in America, so it is of little wonder that both Bout and Putin justify their positions as vile fellow-combatants by voicing moral concerns that would resonate with and distract the general populace. In other words, Russia is purporting itself as not fighting against westernized Ukraine but fighting for the traditional values that secure Russian identity.

Also true is the fact that America and the West in general are suffering identity crises of their own as heretofore “traditional” values are being assaulted by government edict, “progressive” education, and too-many media/social outlets. Nuclear family values are dissipating as parents spend more time working than parenting schools have turned from learning institutions into social engineering-indoctrination centers, and the media are cheerleaders for an increasingly authoritarian government.

Bout cites sex education in particular as a sign of Western cultural demise: “... in American schools they teach first-graders that there are 72 genders!” While this outrageous statement may be technically accepted by some sources, it is hardly the norm in sex education. Nevertheless, it beckons the broader question of what is being taught about sex in American schools and if it should be taught in that venue at all.

Anyone can observe that sex education as taught today clearly elasticizes biological facts. Plus, skin-color and ethnic-heritage which cannot physically be altered are being politicized.

Add to these volatile subjects the instilling of fear that Earth itself may expire because of human sloth, and we begin to grasp the scope of deleterious effects educational institutions are having on our youth. And these school curricula are extolled by government and media.

Note that issues thrust upon children are beyond their direct control; thus, we see how susceptible kids are manipulated into becoming confused, perverted, angry, or paranoid young individuals. The young are the future, so if children are indoctrinated into unhealthy ideas and behavior by educators, then at least “assisted” suicide of western civilization is not farfetched.

By rightful law, children are protected from making decisions in areas where they are not developed enough to exercise sound judgment. They must reach a certain age — usually 18 — to be allowed to drink alcohol and vote; yet, they now are being encouraged (and allowed) to make decisions about the physical form of their bodies and suffer mental anguish over their ancestral legacy as well as the safety of air they breathe.

No one can change biological sex without medically mutilating their body, nor change their skin color-ethnic heritage, nor save the planet from “climate change” — the planet has changed climates for millennia and will continue to do so on its own.

What, then, is the purpose of filling young minds with these worrisome ideas about facts of reality that are impossible to actually alter? Obviously, to any mature and reasoning mind, the purpose is control.

If young people are encouraged to be dissatisfied with a biological fundamental like their natural-born bodies, instilled with guilt or victimization regarding their skin-color-ethnic-heritage, and made insecure about the very existence of the planet where they live, they will be vulnerable to accepting socially collectivist ideas like “Don’t think independently and don’t judge-resist authority” well before they reach a stage of development where they can rationally assess objective facts regarding any matter whatsoever.

Every tyranny throughout history has known that to secure their own power-base they must control education, media, and the physical environment surrounding their subjects — mind and body — in order to mold and hold the masses into compliance.

Parent alert: if the underlying mission of America’s (and the West’s) government, schools, media, and self-serving-climate-alarmists is to cripple the minds and shackle-destroy the bodies of your children, you must recognize that Viktor Bout’s prophecy of Western civilization’s death by suicide may actually be fulfilled and Enlightenment ideas — reason, individualism, liberty — along with your own children’s future as adults will be buried alive in the dark grave of ignorance and bondage.

Think about it.
