Why Trump Wins

It befuddles the media mavens and increasing progressive ranks that against all odds, Trump still rules the day. The more the slings and arrows of outrageous oppression are hurled in his direction, the more the tides of discontent within the world around rise to support many of his premises against what may have started out as righteous indignation — e.g. the more looting the shooting will begin and then what began as a march against reported police injustices disintegrated into unseemly looting and violent rioting supposedly and erroneously in the name of Black Lives Matter.

In a supposed display of unity in the first game of the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs linked in arms with the Houston Texans to be greeted by the sound of unanticipated booing. The establishment still doesn't seem to get it. The WNBA and NBA started a boycott of their games because of injustices in society only to appreciate that though many may care about the issue, those players making base salaries, not millions, couldn't afford to be out of work without sufficient earnings to feed their families.

And so, too, is it with the average Joe who believes he is also an essential worker who doesn't have the luxury of staying off work or waiting for the government to rescue his family from their economic bind.

The issues before us belie a truth about this COVID Pandemic in a world of uncertainty and confusion. Economics is important especially when it hits ones pocket.

Job performance and the stock market boom aren't the only indicator people are watching. At the pump, regular gas is now below $2 per gallon whereas with Obama/Biden it was running close to $2.75.

Despite the dismal reality of layoffs, jobs are available, though not necessarily those that people believe fit their image of themselves. And Personal Protective Equipment can be found in a free market despite their initial paucity. Social isolation and quarantining can rack ones brain and the people you thought you knew seem like strangers often in the same bed. Unfortunately, even your doctor doesn't want to touch you or be up close and personal.

Trump theoretically didn't reportedly get a bump from his Republican National Convention, but the show put on was his own version of Life Styles of the Trumps and Friends. It was a first-class production spelling out his accomplishments with those whose testimonies he valued.

Biden and Harris went at it differently, making through disjointed social distancing the Democratic Convention more anti-Trump rhetoric than pro- what they would do or how America would be better because of them.

The pick of Kamala Harris did not bring the love-in thought because maybe she wasn't the best possible candidate as would have been a Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey. Biden also did not get the claimed bump as the gap being reported between the candidates has fast closed. Could it be the plethora of events demonstrating the need for law and order will be a major factor in what is done for Blacks, who need to feel safe in our communities as well?

The pandering for the Black vote has been nauseating from both camps. Black media is all in for Biden, and for once Trump took the Republican fight to their front door with effective accomplishments despite his braggadocious nature. Black Voices for Trump had an ad that was not considered by many in the Black Lives Matter movement, i.e. if we mattered why have we had over 21 million abortions since 1960 which approximately equals at least half our population not counting the murders of us by us?

This self-genocide is one fight on which the media and others remain too silent. Harris' record in California in reference to Black men hurts, and the passivity of a Black President and his vice president, Biden, in not addressing the issues when they had a seat at the head of the table, spoke volumes.

The one question both camps avoided was a realistic view of where the money is coming from for all the things being done. Any attempt to expand the personal payroll tax exemption proposed by President Trump should be voided, as this is the money used to pay out for Medicare and Social Security.

As such, this defines the case for not expanding Medicare; we simply cannot afford it. Raising taxes sounds cavalier in the Biden plan, but still avoids giving the unemployed some relief, stymies cost of living adjustments, allows illegals to enter, which increases the national burden for relief, promises more in health care and education than is likely and advocates following public health advice which is important but cannot tell how we can feed and employ this nation.

What has not been appreciated in "Make America Great Again" is the harkening to a time when G-d and Country were most important and the Pledge of Allegiance stood for something inherent to this nation's ethos.

Don't believe the polls, for most aren't telling the truth about for whom they are voting. It is speculated that Trump may pull about 26% of the Black vote which is close to that obtained by Nixon. That alone won't rule the day. The tide in the affairs of men when taken in this Pandemic may go either way, but in remembering the one who got us through and is often making a way out of no way, then it is evident that Trump could win if he turns out his vote.
