The next generation of Americans already owe more than $200,000 each just to pay off the country's $16 trillion national debt.
Every boy and girl under 18 would in debt to a total of $218,676 if the bill were to fall on their shoulders, an analysis by
CNSNews found.
That figure exceeds the $130,000 average price of a private college education and the $173,000 median price for a one-family home.
The total national debt on November 1 was $16,221,685,381,838.28. There were 74,181,467 people in the United States under the age of 18, according to the latest census.
