Christian radio host and former baseball star Frank Pastore is in critical condition in hospital five days after sustaining serious injuries in a motorcycle accident.
Pastore’s condition remains “unchanged,” in the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center where he has been in a coma since the accident.
"It's difficult to tell at this point what the outcome will be," hospital spokeswoman Rosa Saca told California’s
Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
Pastore, 55, was riding his motorcycle in Duarte, Calif., early on Monday morning when he was sideswiped by a car, the California Highway Patrol said. The woman driver has not been cited.
Pastore made his name as a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds in the early 1980s. He started The Frank Pastore Show, said to be the largest Christian talk show in the country, in 2004.
