Tim Tebow, the Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback, appears to have autographed a Bible for a fan during training camp last week.
Pictures of the reported signing were posted to Twitter on Wednesday by PhillyVoice.com reporter Matt Mullin.
In subsequent posts, Mullin said that the pictures were from last week, and that he just barely noticed them this week upon further inspection. As the photos show, Tebow was walking down a long railing full of waving fans, and it's unclear if the QB himself realized what he was signing.
In any case, the image of Tebow with the Bible should bolster his cred with his religious fan base — assuming they don't see it as blasphemous.
Onetime starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos, Tebow, 28, was later cut by the New England Patriots in 2013, and signed a new contract with the Eagles this year.
As CSN Philly reported, Tebow is widely expected to play in Sunday's preseason opening game against the Indianapolis Colts. It will be his first starter since 2011.
"It’s coming pretty fast, and I’m looking forward to it," he said recently. "It’s always nice to be able to play against someone else, and that’ll be exciting. It’ll be fun to take off the red [QB practice] jersey as well."
