Target Field in Minneapolis now has self-serve beer stations for people attending events there.

One of the new stations — the first for Major League Baseball — was open for Sunday’s game between the Twins and the Yankees. Another self-serve beer station will be up and running this week, Fox Sports said, just in time for the All-Star game next weekend.

The self-serve kiosks offer four beers – Budweiser, Bud Light, Goose Island 312 Urban Pale Ale, and Shock Top Lemon Shandy. Consumers purchase by the ounce and use cards loaded with for $10, $20, or $50. The beers cost 38 cents to 40 cents per ounce, and customers are limited to 48 ounces every 15 minutes. The stations close after the seventh inning.

The self-serve beer will still be policed by employees who are checking identification to make sure consumers are 21 years or older, Fox said.

Fans posted their approval of the speedy beer terminals online.

Some people were a little unsure of possible consequences, though.
