Queen Elizabeth attended a Commonwealth Games field hockey match in Scotland this week and took it upon herself to photobomb two players snapping a selfie.
The image, now viral-bound on Twitter, shows Australian athletes Jayde Taylor and Brooke Peris smiling as the 88-year-old monarch stands in the background, an uncharacteristic grin plastered across her face.

The photobomb happened Thursday after Australia's 4-0 victory over Malaysia at the
Glasgow National Hockey Center, the Herald Sun reported.
"Brooke [Peris] and I planned it so that when she came out the door she would be behind us. And then she came out and
smiled at the camera," Taylor told ABC News. "We were in the right spot at the right time."
Queen Elizabeth even reportedly chatted a bit with the women.
"She asked us a bit about the pitch, how we were going and told us to enjoy our time here," Taylor said. "She was lovely. Really, really lovely."
This isn’t the first time the royal has pulled a photobomb. She did it during a BBC News segment last summer.
"It was one of those unavoidably surreal moments in
broadcasting history," the Daily Mail reported at the time. "BBC presenters Julian Worricker and Sophie Long were delivering the news from one side of a glass-screen studio when a small figure in a turquoise coat loomed into view on the newsroom behind them. The Queen was shown surrounded and all but mobbed by dozens of staff, apparently ignoring instructions to remain in their seats as the monarch toured the building."
