JK Rowling Says Hogwarts Had Jewish Wizards, Such As Anthony Goldstein

Responding to a question from a fan, author J.K. Rowling revealed on Twitter on Tuesday that the Harry Potter series includes Jewish wizards, including Anthony Goldstein.

The revelation has gotten widespread media attention. She went on to clarify that the character isn’t the first or only Jewish student at Hogwarts, just the one she knows most about. The author also assured fans about the school’s vast diversity.

According to The Guardian, Rowling is unveiling a new ghost plot for Advent on her website, Pottermore.com.

She recently completed the script for the first film in the upcoming Warner Brothers trilogy, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”
