There are no shades of gray when it comes to actress Dakota Johnson.
The 24-year-old, who's featured on the March 2014 cover of Elle Magazine, discussed her lack of inhibition when it comes to her starring in the film version of E.L. James' erotic novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey."
"I don't have any problem doing anything," Johnson told the magazine. "The secret is I have no shame."

The daughter of actress Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, and granddaughter of "The Birds" and "Marnie" actress Tippi Hedren, Dakota Johnson landed the coveted role of recent college grad Anastasia Steele who embarks on a journey of sexual discovery with enigmatic billionaire Christian Grey, played by Jamie Dornan.
Johnson told Elle that she was moved by the story.
"Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes," she said. "I think there's a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down."
The issue, which arrives on newsstands Feb. 18, features Johnson in a number of racy poses. The film isn't scheduled to be released until February 2015.
Many wondered how the book's X-rated themes would be conveyed on the big screen, but producers said it won't be as difficult as some might think.
"Obviously, the film can't be as explicit as the book," producer Michael De Luca told reporters at the Sundance Film Festival last month. "The book is explicit by design because the author wanted to go inside the head of Ana — the female lead — and detail her experience. On the literary level, that was necessary. But in a film or any visual medium, a picture is worth a thousand words. To be erotic onscreen is going to have more power than to read the words on a page."
