Actor Brandon Routh will join "Arrow" this season as The Atom, back in superhero mode after playing the Man of Steel in "Superman Returns."
Routh will take on the size-changing role of scientist Ray Palmer, known in DC Comics as The Atom. Routh's character will be the new owner of Queen Consolidated, the company formerly owned by the Queen family. Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, is the Green Arrow.

Routh will be a recurring guest star on "Arrow" this season, TVLine reports, and, rumor has it, he’ll also be Felicity Smoak’s “love interest.”
The CW’s “Arrow” starts its third season Oct. 8, and
Deadline said Routh’s role is expected to span 14 episodes.
Also joining “Arrow” in the fall is Karl Yune, who will play Maseo Yamashiro, Oliver’s handler and eventual teacher and friend.
The news that Routh would join the popular “Arrow” show lit up social media.
