Amy Schumer offered a sarcastic apology to Donald Trump supporters who walked out of her Sunday concert in Tampa during her show Tuesday at New York's Madison Square Garden, hardly backing off of her view of the Republican presidential nominee.

Schumer, who's related to Democratic New York U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer, offended Trump supporters during her concert Sunday, according to the Tampa Bay Times, calling the Republican candidate an "orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster."

She called up an audience member who claimed to be a Trump supporter and asked, according to the Times: "Do you get worried at all with how impulsive he is? That he gets so fired up from 'Saturday Night Live' doing a skit on him? … Do you worry he'll be impulsive and get us in a lot of f****** trouble we can't get out of?"

Schumer was booed along with being walked out on during her tirade against Trump Sunday.

Schumer revisited the incident Tuesday in her home state, reading what she called an "open letter" to Tampa, according to People.

"Dearest Tampa, I'm sorry you didn't want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now," Schumer said reading the letter, noted People. "How could I think it was okay to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?

"After the show, I want you to know that I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy. Both the rich, entitled, white people who are gonna vote for him and the very poor people — who've been tricked into it," she added.

Schumer concluded: "… I shouldn't have said that he was an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster. Shouldn't have said that. I will never again say that he is an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster."

Schumer announced her support for Trump's opponent, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in March on Twitter.

In October, 2015, she joined with Chuck Schumer to support gun legislation to expand background checks, including ending a loophole in which firearms can be purchased at gun shows and online without checks, Variety noted.

Her support followed a movie theater shooting incident in Lafayette, Louisiana, where people were viewing her film "Trainwreck," Variety noted. Three people died and nine others were injured in the shooting that happened in July, 2015, ABC News reported.
