Mideast Peace Talks a Waste of Time

By    |   Tuesday, 08 April 2014 05:16 PM EDT

John Kerry should be thankful that the spring — and windsurfing season — has finally arrived. Kerry, who was on on a $7 million yacht during the Egyptian coup would be better served fine tuning his windsurfing skills than harming American interests around the world as he currently does.

The entire world would be in a better place if Kerry focuses his energy on anything other than foreign policy where the Obama administration has been a complete and utter failure.

Recently, Tzipi Livni the chief negotiator for Israel said if there are to be further negotiations, they should be direct talks between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. As Livni noted, "Part of what happened in the past few months was more negotiations between us and the United States and less with the Palestinians."

Similar to Israel’s Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon who said “In reality, there have been no negotiations between us and the Palestinians for all these months, but rather between us and the Americans.” While America was prepared to release Jonathan Pollard, what exactly were the Palestinian Arabs conceding? Why is America even bothering with the Middle East right now with all that is brewing worldwide?

In July 2013, Esquire Magazine published a story asking “Why Are We So Obsessed with Israel? Hint: It’s Not Doing Any Good,” which detailed an unfair American government obsession with Israel. As Esquire wrote then, “The obsession has gone on long enough,” and noted regarding Kerry’s Israel visits, “There is nothing he could be doing that would be a bigger waste of his time, including windsurfing.” They are so right.

The Palestinian Arabs made no concessions during this sham peace process and are only interested in taking and taking and taking. These “peace talks” will succeed only if Israel makes repeated concessions. The concessions that the Palestinian Arabs seek are a destruction of Israel — and that will not happen.

John Kerry should do anything other than work on foreign policy until the end of the Obama administration. If he were to perfect windsurfing, finally America would be more well regarded worldwide. So many Americans would be thankful Kerry is no longer further endangering American interests.
