Why do we all let the same old thinking continue to drug the American public into a complacent acceptance of business as usual?

Could it be that our politicians are really just concerned about their own skins and resist actually doing anything that shakes up the special interest groups that pour money into their respective campaigns?

Tell me why Congress isn’t doing everything it can to explore the benefits of a flat tax and the correct structure that would make it work.

With all the talk of sequester and now the overreaching power of the IRS and government, why is the congressional leadership not fully exploring and selling to the American public the necessity of a flat tax?

There is a formula that would work.

It would bring in more revenue and also keep things less cumbersome and corrupt. Yet I keep hearing the tired excuse of mortgage write offs being effected etc.

Look, the right flat tax structure would not be that difficult and is something that would give more power back to the people — where it belongs. Yet we are fed the opposite. Why? Can anyone tell me?

I have been calling for a flat tax for years and my pleas fall on deaf ears.

Eight months ago, I had a meeting in Los Angeles with some representatives from Congress and the Senate. I urged them to please focus on making this a priority. I may as well have been a leper.

Whenever I bring up the term — flat tax — to a politician they immediately jujitsu me into fair tax. I’d love to tell them what they can do with their fair tax. That is a slippery slope that will choke our economy.

How can an actor/singer see an obvious solution while the so-called experts remain clueless?

Look what the VAT did for Europeans. It would only lead to more taxes here.

Let’s demand a full exploration of a flat tax by our Congress — immediately!

With everyone having some skin in the game, a 15 percent top rate and a 2 percent low rate would be fair for everyone — from GE to your local Starbucks barista!

Is anyone listening?
