The vast majority of President Donald Trump voters say he should remain in office even if charges of collusion with Russia are proven true, according to the latest Public Policy Polling survey.

However, 83 percent of Trump voters don't think it happened, with 75 percent of them tagging it fake news.

The survey results, according to PPP:

  • 79 percent of Trump voters think he should remain president, even if collusion is proven true.
  • 11 percent of Trump voters think he should resign, if true.
  • 55 percent of Trump voters think he's the most accomplished president ever.
  • 49 percent surveyed think Trump should be impeached; 41 percent are opposed.
  • 37 percent think Trump is honest.
  • 52 percent think Trump is a liar.

Overall, Trump's approval rating dropped to 38 percent, a net drop of 7 points from September's survey, according to PPP.

"Basically everything we poll on a monthly basis is at a record low point for Trump right now," said Dean Debnam, president of Public Policy Polling. "His approval rating, the number of voters who want to impeach him, his position against Democrats for 2020, and his hold over the Republican Party have never been weaker than we found in this month's national survey."

Public Policy Polling surveyed 572 registered voters from Oct. 27-29. The margin of error is 4 percentage points.
