President Donald Trump on Friday tweaked the Justice Department in a series of tweets for not investigating "crooked Hillary and the Dems."
He picked up the Twitter cudgel again after he departed for Asia, saying "Sanders supporters have every right to be apoplectic."
On Thursday night, Trump told a radio show host that "hopefully" the Justice Department is "doing something" on the Dems and Russia, expressing frustration that he can't "be involved in the FBI."
Still stinging from the reports that Democrats funded the opposition research that turned into the controversial and explosive dossier, Trump wants to see the full weight of the top law enforcement agency in the U.S. rain down some pain on Hillary Clinton, who copped to financing it and defended the practice.
"That dossier, which is totally fake and made up, is like a novel," Trump told Fox News host Laura Ingraham later Thursday. "It's a disgrace and should not have been allowed to be used — and, then, I hear the kind of money they spent. It's inconceivable, it's absolutely inconceivable. It's horrible."
It's been a tough week for Democrats on two other fronts:
- The brother of Clinton's former campaign chairman, Tony Podesta, resigned from the lobbying firm he founded after his company, the Podesta Group, showed up in the indictment against Manafort.
- The new Donna Brazile book Trump referenced is a full frontal assault on the Democratic National Committee for handing over the party to Hillary because it was broke.
In a tweet Thursday night, Trump called the bombshell by Brazile "real collusion and dishonesty. Major violation of campaign finance laws and money laundering."
