Trump Challenges Senate GOP on Healthcare, Applauds McCain's Return

President Donald Trump, in an early morning tweet, challenged Republican senators to clear the way for a healthcare bill.

Big day for HealthCare. After 7 years of talking, we will soon see whether or not Republicans are willing to step up to the plate!

The Senate is set to vote Tuesday on a motion to proceed to debate and amendments on the GOP bill, according to CNN.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will need 50 out of the 52 Senate GOP members to back the plan, the news network reported.

Trump followed up his tweet with one slamming Democrats over Obamacare:

ObamaCare is torturing the American People.The Democrats have fooled the people long enough. Repeal or Repeal & Replace! I have pen in hand.

And, in another tweet, he applauded Sen. John McCain for coming back to Washington for the vote. McCain, an Arizona Republican, recently was diagnosed with brain cancer, The New York Times noted.

He continued beating the drum with another tweet two hours later.

This will be a very interesting day for HealthCare.The Dems are obstructionists but the Republicans can have a great victory for the people!
