Donald Trump's Republican presidential campaign is faltering while his team has split into warring factions, a problem that some of his allies fear can't be corrected in time to win the party's nomination, Politico reports
Although Trump promoted his new strategist Paul Manafort
in an effort to whip the organization into shape, Politico, citing multiple sources, says the staff is broken into three fiefdoms, divided among Manafort, campaign manager Corey Lewandowsik, and deputy campaign manager Michael Glassner.
The limitations of his team came into sharp focus for Trump only after his loss in this week's Wisconsin primary
, Politico says. Looking ahead, Trump has no campaign manager in California and has lost the No. 2 person on his New Jersey team, casting doubt on his ability to win in those states, which vote June 7.
