President Donald Trump's campaign organization slammed CNN, claiming the news network is refusing to air an ad touting his accomplishments in his first 100 days as president.

"It is absolutely shameful to see the media blocking the positive message that President Trump is trying to share with the country," Michael Glassner, the campaign's executive director, said in a White House statement titled: "Fake News Station Refuses to Run Ad Highlighting the President's First 100 Days."

"It's clear that CNN is trying to silence our voice and censor our free speech because it doesn't fit their narrative," the statement continued.

The 30-second ad begins with a narrator saying: "Donald Trump sworn in as president 100 days ago. America has rarely seen such success."

It goes on to highlight Neil Gorsuch's appointment to the Supreme Court, Trump's slashing of regulations and his tax cut plan.

The spot also blasts national media reporters as "fake news." A group of news personalities, including CNN's Wolf Blitzer are shown in the ad, The Hill reported.

CNN said it took exception to labeling the mainstream media as "fake news."
