The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is a national security risk, and half of the country doesn't care, conservative radio talk show host
Rush Limbaugh said on Tuesday.
A caller to Limbaugh's show responded to mainstream media reporting that there was nothing new in the
Republican majority's report on the 2012 Benghazi attacks released earlier in the day.
"Nothing new?" the caller asked. "I'll tell you something that's new that the Americans have found out and our enemies have found out at the same time, which is that Hillary Clinton is a blabbermouth. She’ll tell top secret information to her daughter, Chelsea — who probably doesn’t have any security clearance — and make her into a target for international espionage."
Limbaugh agreed, saying the "Drive-Bys" – as he calls the mainstream press – are in "full protection mode" of Clinton.
"Hillary Clinton is security risk before she blabs to her daughter about what really went on. She’s a security risk before she’s calling all of these foreign leaders and admitting that they’re lying," he said.
Limbaugh was referencing the committee's findings that then-Secretary of State Clinton blamed the attacks that left four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, dead on an anti-Muslim YouTube video produced in the United States. At the same time, Clinton was telling her daughter, Chelsea, and leaders of Arab countries that the attack was terrorism.
Limbaugh said Clinton was already known to be a security risk because her private email server used for State Department communications was probably been hacked.
"So security risk? Long ago established," Limbaugh said. "The fact that this doesn't bother half the country, that's always been my concern."
