Joe Walsh, a radio host and supporter of President Donald Trump, slammed the president Thursday after Democratic leaders said Trump had agreed to work toward a deal to handle the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
Trump met with Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer Wednesday night, and it was reported that they had made a deal on DACA. However, Trump posted a tweet in which he denied that a deal had been made.
Walsh, a former Republican congressman for Illinois, said in a series of tweets that he was incorrect to believe that Trump would fulfill his campaign promises on immigration and the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
The radio host also called on Sean Hannity, Fox News host, to place blame on the president if a deal had been made. "Quit coddling him," Walsh tweeted.
