Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid says he isn't sorry he stood on the Senate floor in 2012 and accused GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney of not paying his taxes.
"No, I don’t regret that at all," the Nevada Democrat told CNN's Dana Bash.
"No one would help me. They were afraid the Koch brothers would go after them, so I did it on my own."
Story continues below video.
Bash noted that Reid had no proof Romney hadn't paid taxes and said that his critics likened his tactics to 1950s Sen. Joseph McCarthy who accused people of being communists.
Reid didn't seem fazed, saying, "They can call it whatever they want."
Then, he added with a smirk, "Romney didn’t win, did he?"
