DNC Chair Tom Perez on Friday ripped into President Donald Trump and took an expletive-laced shot at the Republican Party, the Daily Caller reports.
During the high-energy speech, Perez also called Trump a bully and criticized his visits to his Mar-a-Lago property in South Florida. He highlighted the marches that took place around the country the day after Trump was inaugurated, heaping praise on the protesters who demonstrated.
"They marched all over the world and said, ‘Donald Trump, you don't stand for our values,’ that’s what they said," Perez said at a New Jersey Working Families Alliance event in Newark. "Donald Trump, you didn't win this election. … Donald Trump, we will resist."
"And one week ago, we did," Perez said, referring to the failure of the healthcare replacement bill which didn't even get a floor vote because of the lack of GOP support. Perez suggested Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan call the legislation "I-Don't-Care, because they don't give a s--t about people!"
"That's what it's about."
Perez, who served as the labor secretary under former President Barack Obama and was elected DNC chair in late February, also mocked Trump on his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling it a "bromance."
