Norm Eisen, who served as White House Special Counsel for Ethics and Government Reform under former President Barack Obama, on Saturday slammed President Donald Trump for his tweets on CNN.

Trump said, “Fox News is much more important” than CNN in his tweet, and his latest social media criticism of the news outlet comes following the Justice Department’s announcement that it would seek to block the AT&T-Time Warner merger because the agency says it would hurt competition and consumers. Time Warner owns CNN.

Eisen said Trump’s tweet could prove useful for AT&T, which could argue that the Justice Department’s lawsuit stems from the president’s personal dislike of the network.
