Attorney General Jeff Sessions' decision to recuse himself from investigations into Russia have made President Donald Trump furious, the Hill reports.
Sessions made his announcement Thursday after reports surfaced that he had spoken with Russia's U.S. envoy during the presidential election.
He said he was following the recommendation of department ethics officials that told him he should not be involved in any campaign investigation since he was involved in the campaign.
Trump left the White House Friday "fuming," tweeted a Washington Post reporter, telling aides that Sessions should not have recused himself.
ABC's Evan McMurry on Saturday tweeted that Trump felt Sessions' recusal only served to embolden Trump's political opponents and that the president went "ballistic" about the issue in front of senior staff on Friday before he left for Mar-a-Lago.
