Many Americans aren't sure who's running for vice president from either party – and a majority don't intend to find out by watching the vice presidential debate between GOP nominee Mike Pence and Democrat Tim Kaine on Tuesday, an online poll finds.
The ABC News/SSRS survey of 245 respondents found 41 percent couldn't correctly name Donald Trump's running mate and 46 percent drew a blank on Hillary Clinton's vice presidential nominee.
Pence has been Indiana's GOP governor since 2013, and was a congressman and radio host before that; Kaine has been a U.S. senator from Virginia since 2013 and was the state's governor and Richmond mayor previously.
The survey found 64 percent don't plan to tune in Tuesday when the pair face off in their vice presidential debate; 10 percent think the VP debate will have a major impact on the November election.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 8.1 percentage points.
