Mike Huckabee says the fact Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid knew about his party's secret efforts to destroy Bernie Sanders' presidential bid, and yet said nothing, shows how "unethical" Democratic leadership is.

"Harry Reid now admits that 'everybody knew' the DNC [Democratic National Committee] was unfairly stacking the deck against Bernie Sanders in the primaries," the former Arkansas governor and GOP presidential candidate wrote Friday on his Facebook page.

"If all those top Democrats knew such an unethical, possibly illegal, thing was happening, why didn't any of them say so until it was too late to make any difference (and too obvious to deny, thanks to Wikileaks)?

"That's not a very encouraging trait in the leaders of a major political party: that they will finally tell you the truth, only after it's impossible to deny.''

Last week, the document-leaking website Wikileaks released hacked emails between top Democratic leaders and strategists the suggested they were working to end the Vermont senator's campaign in favor of Hillary Clinton.

The FBI is now investigating the source of the hack, which some believe was orchestrated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in a bid to influence the general election in November. Russia has denied any connection.

The leaks triggered the sudden resignation of Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
