Journalist Sharyl Attkisson is not buying the claims President Donald Trump and/or his campaign had any improper ties to Russia.
Attkisson spoke Wednesday with Newsmax TV host Steve Malzberg and was asked about the alleged collusion between the two parties, of which there is no hard evidence.
"I'm not accusing anybody of collusion, but if you're going by the same standards the media and pundits are putting out there now, there is more evidence of collusion between President Obama and the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism, Iran, in secretly conducting deals that were hidden from the public," said Attkisson, the host of "Full Measure" and author of "The Smear," out June 27.
Attkisson said the collusion story is merely a narrative pushed out by critics of the president who want to see him out of the White House.
"I think it was a carefully chosen narrative that was pushed, a carefully chosen word, but I think many people are stuck on it because they have a larger goal, which they stated is to take out this president," she said. "Maybe they think that's their best shot."
