Dick Morris tells
Newsmax TV that Bill and Hillary Clinton are convinced the mushrooming email scandal threatening to destroy Hillary's presidential run has been orchestrated by President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and his senior adviser Valerie Jarrett.
"From the Clinton point of view, this is all set up by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama and Valerie Jarrett, the three of them. Barack hates Bill and Valerie and Michelle hate Hillary," Morris, a former Clinton family confidante and adviser to President Bill Clinton, said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."

"They're determined not to let Hillary be the next president. This is the gospel according to Clinton, because they're worried that he'll compromise the legacy....
"They believe, and they're basically right, that in the world of Washington you cannot have leak after leak after leak after leak after leak from the executive branch in a Democratic administration without the president letting it happen."
As well, Morris said, the White House has not launched a probe of the ongoing leaks about Hillary Clinton's use of a private email address and server as secretary of state — a possible breach of security being investigated by the FBI.
"Obama is orchestrating it … Not necessarily the Barack Obama, but Michelle and Valerie and maybe Barack, certainly with Barack's knowledge," he said.
"And that's why [Vice President Joe] Biden's going to announce [he's running for president] in September because they're determined to have Biden as the Democratic nominee.
"They're confident that he'll be the rubber stamp they want to succeed Barack and they know Biden could never beat Hillary, but Hillary could beat Hillary."
According to Morris — a Newsmax political analyst and author of
"Power Grab: Obama's Dangerous Plan for a One-Party Nation," written with Eileen McGann and published by Humanix — Clinton is well aware that she is in serious trouble.
"Hillary is cornered and she's caught. She knows that there's going to be more and more stuff coming out. The way this thing is set up, out of 3,000 or 4,000 emails, they found 300 that are suspicious. They have 26,000 more to go," Morris said.
"Now she says that the fact that she received classified information, she didn't know it was classified, it wasn't labeled, but then she's the secretary of state. She's the one that decides what's classified."
In a separate interview with Ed Berliner on Newsmax TV's "The Hard Line," Morris likened Clinton allegedly keeping classified information on an unsecured server to drug dealing.

"Think of it this way: drugs arrived in the mail, OK, illegal drugs. Well you can't be held responsible if someone sends you heroin because you may not know it is. But then you open it, and you see its heroin. Then you put it in your kitchen cabinet," Morris said.
"Well, now you're guilty of possession and then without labeling it heroin, you send it on to somebody else. Now you're guilty of trafficking. If it wasn't labeled heroin, you should know that it's heroin. That's kind of an analogy of what she's up against here.
"Hillary knows that she has been caught and she knows that she's in a very, very tight situation and she's hunkering down and hoping that her spin works."
And if it doesn't, will she exit the race?
"Will Clinton crack? The answer is never. Hillary Clinton will never voluntarily leave this race. Remember in 2008, long after she lost, she stayed in and Obama said, when is she going to go home?" Morris said.
"The only way Hillary will be knocked out of this race is to be indicted and I believe that is going to happen.... Hillary brought all this on herself, but Obama and his people sure pounced on it and you're going to see increasingly signs of the fracturing of the Democratic base."
The FBI took control of Clinton's email server last week and its agents are now combing through it, even though the device was wiped clean of all data.
A report this week said the FBI may be able to recover some of the erased data from the server.
The email scandal has dogged Clinton all year, and her poll numbers as she campaigns for president are starting to take a hit. Her main challenger from the left, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, is gaining ground on her and
is actually tied with the former first lady in one New Hampshire poll.
Real estate mogul Donald Trump, the leading candidate for president on the Republican side,
trails Clinton by just 6 points in another poll.
