Former President George H.W. Bush received a "big morale boost" Thursday when his son, former President George W. Bush, visited him in a Houston hospital.

"Big morale boost from a high level delegation," a Twitter post said on Bush 41's page. "No father has ever been more blessed, or prouder."

Bush 41, who is 92, has been in Houston Methodist Hospital since late Friday with a recurrence of pneumonia he had earlier this year, spokesman Jim McGrath said.

Doctors admitted Bush to treat a persistent cough that was determined to be pneumonia, The Houston Chronicle reported. Physicians say the illness was treated and has been resolved.

McGrath said Bush was be gaining strength and in good spirits Wednesday, and he reported no other changes in the former president's status Thursday.

In the White House from 1989 to 1993, Bush was hospitalized for 16 days in January for pneumonia.

Within days of his release, he participated in the coin flip at the Super Bowl in Houston.
