President Barack Obama’s dismal 39 percent approval rating is the bright spot of recent polling data, which indicates just how little Americans think of his policies,
according to The Washington Post.
Americans panned the president in nearly every category, from the economy to healthcare to immigration, with approval ratings dipping into the low 30s, according to polling data from
the Pew Research Center.
The recently released data reflects the president’s lowest-ever approval ratings.
Only 19 percent of American voters say Obamacare will improve the quality of care they will receive in the next year, while 43 percent think the quality of care will decline, according to Quinnipiac’s research.
A whopping 52 percent of Americans don’t think the president is honest and trustworthy, with 46 percent saying he “knowingly deceived” the country when he repeatedly pledged that Americans could keep their existing health plans.
Sixty-two percent of Americans polled think the president, who ran on the slogan of “Hope and Change,” is doing a poor job with the federal budget. Another 59 percent disapprove of how he is handling of the economy.
Despite
reports that a majority of Americans support a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants already living in the United States — an issue the Obama administration has pushed — the polling data shows that just 32 percent (Pew) and 35 percent (Quinnipiac) of the country thinks the president is doing a good job on immigration reform.
Just more than half — 53 percent — of voters say the Obama administration has not been competent in running the country.
