Matt Drudge: Did US Hit Drudge Report With Cyberattack?

Matt Drudge took to Twitter to question whether the U.S. had launched a cyberattack against his popular website, Drudge Report.

 


His mention of DDoS in the tweet refers to a Distributed Denial of Service attack, according to The Washington Times.

In a follow-up tweet, Drudge referred to Fort Meade, the Maryland base that includes the headquarters of the United State Cyber Command and the National Security Agency, the newspaper reports.

 

 

The Washington Examiner notes the Drudge Report was intermittently down Thursday night only hours after President Obama announced sanctions against Russia for its alleged hacking of Democratic organizations and officials during the campaign.

The Examiner points out the Drudge Report had boosted Donald Trump during in the race for the White House.
