Lindsey Graham Says He's Considering Running for President

By    |   Sunday, 18 Jan 2015 10:10 AM

Sen. Lindsey Graham admitted Sunday a "testing the waters committee" has been set up to determine if he would have a chance at the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, but he hasn't made any decisions.

"We're not polling, but we set up a testing the waters committee under the IRS code that would allow me to look beyond South Carolina as to whether a guy like Lindsey Graham has a viable path," the South Carolina Republican told NBC.

He said he doesn't know where the committee's report will lead, "but I'm definitely going to look at it. I think the world is falling apart, and I've been more right than wrong when it comes to foreign policy. But we'll see."

Raddatz noted that Arizona GOP Sen. John McCain had joked once about his illegitimate son running for president, referring to Graham, and the South Carolina Republican played along Sunday.

"The good news is I guess I'm in John's will and I can get part of the estate," he said.
