Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman has UFOs on his radar.
John Podesta exchanged correspondence on UFOs and also took part in a UFO documentary, according to emails released by the whistleblower website WikiLeaks. The news, first reported by NBC on Monday afternoon, was the strangest finding among the highly discussed document dump.
Of the emails published, 59 have the word UFO in the content when searched. Podesta had correspondence with late astronaut Edgar Mitchell on "the next steps in extraterrestrial disclosure for the benefit of our country and our planet" and "the difference between celestials in our own solar system and their restraint by those from the nonviolent contiguous universe."
Podesta also emailed with Blink-182 guitarist and UFO enthusiast, Tom DeLonge, and took part in a documentary he produced. DeLonge told him he was "honored to be able to work on this with important Men like yourself."
DeLonge, according to NBC, also wanted to set Podesta up with others interested in the subject.
"I think you will find them very interesting, as they were principal leadership relating to our sensitive topic," DeLonge wrote in an Oct. 26, 2015 email. "Both were in charge of most fragile divisions, as it relates to Classified Science and DOD topics."
DeLonge wrote a book on life beyond Earth, published in April of this year and one he penned with the help of 10 people within the Department of Defense.
