Iran Tests Ballistic Missile

Iran launched a ballistic missile in a test Sunday, an an apparent violation of a United Nations resolution, Fox News reported Monday. 

The White House confirmed hours later that it was aware of the test.

The launch occurred outside Semnan, about 140 miles east of Tehran, Fox reported, citing an unnamed U.S. official.

Reuters, also citing an unnamed U.S. official,  reported the medium-range missile exploded after flying 630 miles.
